Waterproof Shoes CGI VIDEO
Project Overview
This CGI video was created to show how we can promote a waterproof shoe in a creative and visually impactful way.
The concept revolves around placing the shoe in a real river environment to highlight its water resistance and durability under harsh conditions.
Instead of traditional product shots, we opted for a cinematic-style scene that blends real-life footage with 3D elements—where the shoe sails confidently like a yacht across the water, clearly suggesting that it’s built specifically for such environments and challenges.
Project Execution
The project began with a real river shot, which posed significant challenges in terms of camera tracking and environmental integration due to natural reflections and motion.
Using Blender, we added a 3D model of the actual shoe into the scene and simulated its interaction with the water to match lighting, flow, and physical response.
We also developed a custom physical simulation of the river water, allowing the shoe to interact naturally and believably with the moving surface, enhancing the realism of the scene.
A cloth flag featuring the brand logo was added for visual impact and animated to respond to wind and motion naturally.
We used accurate camera tracking to align the elements, followed by compositing in After Effects and Nuke, where we refined the water splashes, added visual effects, and applied color grading.
Despite tight deadlines, the result achieved a strong balance between technical execution and creative storytelling, presenting the shoe in an unexpected yet powerful context.
